Dragon Keeper
Script, Short Animatic, and Concept Booklet
Dragon Keeper is my UTD capstone project, created in tandem with artist, writer, and designer Sarah Streety. The project was supervised by professor Adam Chandler. Dragon Keeper portrays a fun, but moralistic, detective-fantasy story. The story depicts the harshness of ill-minded human judgment, even in a setting where something can appear to be magical and just.

A quiet night at home that should’ve been like any other opens up a world of political schemes and cover-ups when 12-year-old Percy Saton witnesses the kidnapping of her father, the mayor of Woodbry. With the city at stake in the midst of a new election, Percy must continue her father’s research into the long lost Titans, and take care telling friend from foe.
Animatic
This short animatic covers the first half of the introduction section of the script, complete with sound effects and music. The animatic is not voiced, but there are subtitles to convey dialogue and action description.
Script
The Dragon Keeper script is divided into three sections. In the intro section, the script provides a view of what normal life in Woodbry is like before it's disrupted by treachery and tragedy. The middle section of the script begins to unpack what's really going on in and around Woodbry, as Percy meets and measures many different individuals. Finally, the ending section of the script displays Woodbry's political campaign in full blast, while Percy and her friends rally to put a stop to all the scheming.
